Highly detailed1/72 scale assembly model kit of the Boeing B-47 Stratojet, a medium-range, six-engine, jet bomber operated by the United States Air Force during the 1950's and early 1960's. B-47 was the mainstay of the U.S. Air Force's Strategic Air Command (SAC) during the early years of the Cold War, and in the event of a hot war against the "Iron Curtain", U.S. military planners envisioned formations of B-47 bombers penetrating Soviet airspace and delivering nuclear weapons on key strategic targets. Fortunately, SAC never needed to deploy B-47s for their intended missions; nevertheless, the B-47 program did contribute to the development of modern passenger jetliners. This Hasegawa 1/72 scale assembly kit features the B-47E variant, and the kit comes with detailed cockpit, pilot figures, and decals for one U.S. Air Force version (S/N: 20154).
