Haydn: String Quartets, Vol. 2
This release is the second volume by the Doric String Quartet in the sequence dedicated to Haydns String Quartets. Franz Joseph Haydns (1732-1809) Op. 76, featured here, was the last full set of string quartets that he composed. Published in 1799, they were commissioned by Count Joseph Erdody. The Doric String Quartet is known for their sensitivity in slow movements in particular.
