After more than 20 years in the Latin music scene, Jose Alberto "El Canario" remains true to his title, El Sonero del Pueblo. His latest album combines hardcore dance tracks reminiscent of his days as lead vocalist of the legendary Tipica '73, with tracks inspired by a variety of Latin American sounds and rhythms. Examples include a passionate interpretation of the afro-Peruvian "La Flor de la Canela" the reggae/cumbia inspired "Clavado en Un Bar" (Spanish rock group Manas hit song), the explosive meringue "Enamorado de Mi Pais" and the Mexican inspired "Adonde Vayas."
