- Pyrolytic graphite is a new type of carbon material. It is a pyrolytic carbon with higher crystal orientation that is deposited on a graphite matrix at 1800°C to 2000°C by chemical vapor deposition of high-purity hydrocarbon gas under a certain furnace pressure.
- Reminder: Pyrolytic graphite sheets require a rubidium boron strong magnet to be suspended, and ordinary magnets cannot be suspended. Thin ones with smaller sizes are easier to levitate.
- Property characteristics: resistant to extreme cold and heat, super strong diamagnetism, good stability at room temperature, acid, alkali, and organic solvent corrosion.
- Purpose: Due to the antimagnetic properties of pyrolytic graphite, it is used for magnetic levitation experiments.
