Florence and her boyfriend are white tourists enjoying a holiday in South Africa. They are halfway through their journey to a wildlife park near Cape Town, when their car is knocked off the road by a gang of black locals. Tony avoids a serious accident, but the car is halted and attacked by the gang. Florence is captured and dragged over to witness the demise of poor Tony, before being bundled into their car and taken to their hideout.
So begins a tortuous period in the hands of the hijackers, during which time she discovers that she has been targeted by another man, who has a special future planned for the luckless English girl.
