Fendall Pure Flow 1000 Emergency Eye Wash Station Trilingual Refill Cartridges (2 Cartridges, 3.5 gallon / 13.2 L each)
The Honeywell Fendall Pure Flow 1000 self-contained eyewash station can be mounted on a wall, stand, or mobile cart for placement near most workplace eye hazards. It provides 15 minutes of uninterrupted flushing with a fluid flow rate of 0.4 gallons per minute (gpm) to meet the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) standard Z358.1-2009 for emergency eyewash and shower equipment. The preserved, pH-balanced, physiological saline flushing solution is supplied by factory sealed cartridges (sold separately), eliminating the need for measuring and mixing of concentrates and reducing the risk of contamination prior to use. The cartridges last up to 24 months, and the station holds two cartridges (seven gallons of fluid). The gravity fed flow starts immediately after the activating door is pulled open, leaving the hands free to hold the eyelids open. The nozzles cover a wide area around the eyes for effective removal of chemicals and particles. The station weighs 38 lb. without cartridges and measures 30 x 29 x 17-1/4 inches (H x W x D). (H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.) The operating instructions on the station are in Spanish (Mexico). This self-contained eyewash station is suitable for Occupational Safety and Hazard Administration (OSHA) required eye protection in workplace environments where hazardous chemicals or materials are present.
Eyewash stations provide for emergency flushing of the eyes to remove chemicals or materials that can cause injury. They are placed near potential eye hazards in workplace environments for quick access, and can be either plumbed devices that draw tap water from a facility's plumbing or self-contained units with a supply of gravity-fed flushing solution that can be wall mounted or placed on mobile stands or carts for portability. Eyewash stations have a pair of nozzles that direct the flushing fluid upward at both eyes simultaneously, maintaining a constant flow rate and stream height. The flushing fluid used in portable stations is typically a preserved, physiological saline solution that must be periodically replaced. Eyewash stations are required by government agencies responsible for occupational safety, such as the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and are found in industrial facilities, construction sites, and hospitals, among others.
