Our history as Paper Wishes was born from Hot Off The Press success. Our goal has always been and will always be to create wonderful supplies. However, we don't just create paper crafting supplies, we're crafters ourselves too!

Paulette Jarvey, owner and President of Hot Off The Press, believes EVERYONE is creative.

In fact, this belief inspired Paulette to establish her company, Hot Off The Press. "I wanted to produce books and products to make crafters successful", she says. "My mission was and still is to foster confidence and self-esteem in crafters of all ages and any skill level."

The company began on Paulette's kitchen table in 1980 with the help of friends and family. She was raising a family while teaching classes on dough art at a community college. When students urged her to write a how-to book, she was inspired and Hot Off The Press was born.

Today, Paulette has taught scrapbooking classes and seminars across the United States and Canada, as well as at craft conventions in the UK and Australia."Scrapbook classes are a wonderful way to have fun while learning a new technique", she says. "Teaching is one of my favorite things about being a part of the creative industry!"
