Houghton Lake is the largest inland lake in Michigan. It boasts outstanding ice fishing for walleye, northern and panfish. Walleye in the 17-to 24-inch range are common, with 10-pound trophies present. Good numbers of 2-to 3-pound smallmouth can also be had.
