2014 release. The house band at Atlanta's Grace Midtown Church, Housefires first gained notice for the much-covered worship song "Good Good Father," included here in its laid-back original version, along with 10 equally compelling tracks. "The Wick" is a prayer chanted over minimal instrumental to surprising effect. Meanwhile, handclaps are used freely (just see "Unto Your Name"), and eight or nine-minute songs are common, making it feel like you've stumbled onto a rousing rehearsal session. This unstructured intimacy only adds to Housefires' appeal.
