Eating for Mass: How to Eat, What to Eat, and When to Eat It to Gain More Than 20lbs in a Month

And it sucked. From as early as I can remember, I was always the littlest kid in the class. My mother would say things like, “You’re still growing!â€But time passed and, of course, I realised that I wasn’t still growing. Everyone else was growing but I remained the scrawny, weak dweeb I’d always been. I so badly wanted to change.
I tried many different ways to gain weight. I tried to simply “eat more foodâ€as everyone suggested but I couldn’t. I didn’t even like food that much. Stuffing myself with more of it wasn’t very fun. I also tried dirty bulking. This is where you just eat junk food to gain weight and, while that technically works, I felt like crap. (If you’ve ever seen Supersize Me, you can get a clearer picture of what my life was like.)
Eventually, I just accepted that conventional wisdom wasn’t going to work for me. People didn’t “getâ€it and everyone who offered me advice had never been skinny themselves. They didn’t understand that, without the right habits, it’s harder to gain weight than it is to lose it.
I needed a new approach.
After much searching and researching and doubts and discoveries, I settled on an older method of weight gain from the early 20th century. This was a time before steroids and other performance enhancing drugs and therefore a time felt more willing to trust. I didn’t want to inject myself with weird substances, after all, or take shortcuts that’d leaving me feeling unaccomplished.
What is so brilliant about this method is how simple it is. You don’t need fancy foods or lots of time or even lots of money. In fact, there’s only one thing that you need:
Milk.
And I know that might sound strange but the method I’m talking about is known as “GOMAD,â€which stands for gallon of milk a day. Essentially, you drink a gallon of milk a day for a set amount of time – usually a month or so — and gain weight and strength as a result of this.
“What?!â€
I know, I know. It sounds extreme. And it is. But it works and it’s safer than many other people would have you believe. I’ve done it many times myself as have many other skinny guys who were looking to bulk up and get strong. It’s also because of this extreme-ness that it can’t fail. It isn’t even easy to fail. There are side-effects – I’m not looking to mislead you into thinking it’s perfect — but those side-effects are minimal and easy to deal with (and are also partly why this book exists).
Quite simply, if you’re looking to gain weight, there’s no better method than drinking a gallon of milk per day for a month. It works and it could very well transform your life.
There’s more to GOMAD than just drinking milk though. Like I said before, there’s some side-effects to deal with and some details you must know before getting started. You’re not about to die or hurt yourself from drinking milk, so don’t fret about unearthing some ghastly truth about it, but all of the following details are covered in the book:
