How to Be Frugal: How to Be Frugal Online, In the Store, and In Your Home
I have lived a frugal lifestyle throughout my entire married life of 20 years. Sometimes it has been by choice as my husband and I were looking to accomplish big goals when it came to our finances, and sometimes we lived frugally because we had to.
Whether my husband and I were earning nearly six figures between the both of our earnings or feeding our family using food stamps (we’ve done both), our frugal lifestyle was heavily laden with countless lessons.
As my husband and I sit poised to become completely debt-free by paying off our mortgage in the spring of 2016, I have learned so many tips, tricks, and amazingly fruitful ways of doing things that I so enjoy sharing with others.
Over the years, I have answered numerous questions on the topic of frugality from family members, friends, and people I meet along the way. I have also enjoyed writing on numerous frugal topics on TheIntentionalMom.com and also on sites such as MoneySavingMom.com, TentoTwenty.com, FaithAlongTheWay,com, and more.
No matter what other topics I cover, the frugal information that you will find within the pages of this book are the most read topics on TheIntentionalMom.com every single day. The timeless information that you will read within this book is among some of the things that I have written about on my blog, and this information is what generates the most email responses, the most social media interaction, and the most posts read on my entire site on an ongoing basis.
For this reason, I know that the frugal information that I share is highly sought after, and as someone who is constantly looking to maintain a frugal lifestyle, I can say this from personal experience as well. As a mom of eight as of the spring of 2016, I know the importance of making every penny in a budget stretch as far as possible, and I love sharing what I know with everyone I meet.
It doesn’t matter whether you are just seeing what being frugal might entail, newer to living a frugal lifestyle, or someone like me who has been pinching every penny for 20 years or more, there is something in this book for you.
Written in an easy to read format, you can read this book from start to finish, or you can skip around to the areas that are of particular interest to you in whatever order you choose.
I look forward to teaching you everything I know!
With that, buckle your seat belt as there is a lot of information here. Bite off only as much as you can chew, but take the time to read each chapter in its entirety. Then, really drive each chapter home by completing the few tasks at the end of each chapter that allows you to take the concepts you’ve just read about a bit deeper. Completing these tasks is how you will get the most from this book. After all, it doesn’t really matter what you know, it is only what you do with what you know that really matters.
If you are looking to change your life, to change your future, and to change the future of the generations who follow you, this book is everything you need to do just that!
