Unlike other bicycle engines that mount in the center of your frame, friction drive motors mount directly over your wheel, which gives you a wider range of bicycles you can use with this motor. Its compact design also eliminates the need for a bulky gas tank on your frame- there's one built right on to the engine. And because it mounts over your bike's wheel you don't even need to install a rear drive sprocket.
