This image was made by focusing the Hubble Space Telescope for the equivalent of 23 days at an area of the sky near the constellation Fornax that was apparently void of anything. Every speck of light except for a few stars in the image is a galaxy that likely contains billions of stars. There are thousands of galaxies in this image that only cover the area of the sky equivalent to the tip of a pencil held at an arms length away from the observer! The faintest galaxies are one ten-billionth the brightness the human eye can see! This poster is unlike others. It is printed using thick high gloss paper.
