Sebo is a Hungarian folk ensemble that plays old style East European peasant music for dancing, as well as contemporary song poems performed in a folk style with roots in the Middle Ages. The members of the group have developed their repetoire both with academic research and by collecting songs straight from old folk musicians, often acquiring or reconstructing ancient or obscure instruments. Sebo is living proof that folk music and folk dance are not museum pieces but a valuable addition to everyday contemporary life
