I AM: Kicking Down the Walls of Silence About Sexual and Mental Abuse

The other, an adult woman who gives birth to twin daughters and in that moment, finds a new will to live and to fight for not only her children, but herself. A will that might be her only saving grace through the agony of escaping a dark and abusive marriage.
I AM traces the gripping journeys of both Brenda's until, finally Brenda must decide whether or not she will claim all of herself and step into the fullness of one brave, determined woman.
This is a story about physical, mental and sexual abuse, the things that happen behind closed doors, in places that are supposed to be safe, and how violence cloaked in silence can destroy lives.
This is a story about kicking down those doors, breaking the silence, and reclaiming and rebuilding life.
The story is about remembering and recovering the vibrance of the essential self, the part that cannot be destroyed, and letting that self light the way forward to healing and wholeness.Â
