Sometimes the smallest event can have the greatest impact on a person’s life, early one cold mid-December morning in 1972 this happened to me. The simple act of walking to a friend’s home, and the subsequent events have greatly impacted my life for over 40 years to date. I grew up fishing and hunting the forests of the Pacific Northwest, and thought I knew all the creatures that inhabited the forests. I would learn differently that morning, never realizing what lurked in the shadows, watching.
