Despite the smog-damaged ruins of itâ€™s once glorious past, Athens can be proud of itâ€™s remarkable and exemplary Metal scene and of itâ€™s leading band, Inner Wish, in particular. Formed in 1995, Inner Wish have a varied and acclaimed past behind them, touring with U.D.O., Helloween, Anathema, Therion, amongst others, as well as having their last album, 2004â€™s Silent Faces, chart at #9 on the Japanese Import charts. Their sound is pure, 100% driving Melodic Power Metal in the classic sense. Inner Strength is yet another intelligent and exciting Inner Wish release, recorded in Germany with R.D.
