Interludes in Hell offers three novella length tales of apocalyptic horror and suspense in the world of the Sovereign Spirit Saga. All three of these stories are prequels to the series and describe events leading up to and including the zombie apocalypse. It is not necessary to have read Voyage of the Dead, Flotilla of the Dead, and Deluge of the Dead to enjoy Interludes in Hell. In fact, reading this compilation first will give you a better feel for some of the characters that appear later in the saga without giving away any spoilers in the series. Conversely, if you are already a fan of the series, you won't want to miss these stories that flesh out characters you will recognize from Volume One and set the stage for Volume Two of the Sovereign Spirit Saga. This collection contains:
1) LUKAN (also available separately). Silent death is walking the world and Lukan is it's name. Discover how and why the zombie apocalypse was unleashed on the world.
2) Land's End (new release). An Australian yachtsman is enjoying his visit to a resort town in Mexico when TEOTWAWKI changes everything. How will he and his crew cope with the outbreak of the zombie apocalypse?
3) Into the Breach (new release). Did you ever wonder how the military would respond to a zombie outbreak? Follow a unit of Marines who are sent into the midst of a city that is eating itself alive.
After reading this collection you should want to grab "Voyage of the Dead" and the whole "Sovereign Spirit Saga: Volume One." Or, if you have already booked passage, this will wet your appetite for Volume Two. Welcome Aboard and Bon Voyage!
Advance Review of LUKAN:
"David Forsyth, through Lukan's confession, reveals with growing intensity what caused the Zombie Apocalypse of his Sovereign Spirit Saga... Lukan painted with precise brushes showing the reader his descent into hell, both a metaphorical one and—ultimately—a real one for the rest of the world. Modern Charon, he delivers death with a breath. He is the Alpha of the apocalypse, and his voyage marks the Omega for humanity. I could see the world through Lukan's eyes, feel his hatred mixed with guilt, and Forsyth well handles a complex character who faces at every second, and with every gesture, the choice between life and death, and this last one is destined to win. Readers of this prequel will have no doubts that they will embark on a journey of the dead that will reward their fantasy and lust for zombies. Read this, it will be your ticket to the Sovereign Spirit."

"The plot and storyline lends itself easily to being a long and enjoyable series."

"David Forsyth's Sovereign Spirit Saga is truly amazing. I'm an avid post-apoc / zombie reader and just fell in love with his style of writing, characters and story. No one will be disappointed in this trilogy, this is a must for any zombie apoc reader."

"This is one of those books that starts with a bang and I read waiting for the pace to slacken, except it doesn't. Too often, books of this kind start out with an action scene, and then we get chapters of backfill and descriptions of the soap opera-like travails of our characters. While Forsyth indeed fills in the characterizations, the key quality of this book is that most valuable in any kind of thriller--PACING." John S. Walsh, author of "Love Has A Taste"
“The Walking Dead meets Battlestar Gallactica! ...all the ingredients for an epic series of books and would be great for television too. It's like a Star Trek of the Zombie Apocalypse.†Tom McWilliams
