John's Story: A Walk with Cancer

Marguerite Howard Behm is a former Math and Science teacher; a Licensed Cosmetologist and Aesthetician, and an active Licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of Florida. My Husband John was a Certified General Contractor in Florida and a BC Contractor in the State of Tennessee. We enjoyed life and worked well together. We had an awesome life of love and happiness. This book was written in honor of John Reginald Behm, who lost his fight with Cancer on June 6, 2015. On January 12, 2014 John was diagnosed with Tongue cancer. John had a long hard fight of a year and nine months, with Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the tongue. He was a non-smoker. Johnâ€™s cancer metastasized to: his neck, lymph nodes, liver, bones, septum and spine. Johnâ€™s Story: A Walk with Cancer was written to bring awareness of early detection, preventive care, things we missed, things you should know, and the walk we had as we traveled on this Journey. As cancer is called the "Silent Killer," early detection and preventive care is the key to survival! This book is going to tell you a true story of John Reginald Behmâ€™s walk with Cancer. It includes: pictures; text messages to family and friends; and it tells a love story, in the midst of the storm of fighting cancer. John was my husband, my best friend, my soul mate, my lover and the best companion a person could have ever hoped to enjoy. Please join me in the fight of getting CT Scans for people on a regular basis as part of preventive care. If the CT Scan shows something out of the norm, then a PET Scan should be done to determine if one has cancer, and a needle biopsy if possible. No one should have to endure the pain and suffering John tolerated as he travel on this journey.
