Truly Yours: The First Motown Album with Bonus Tracks 1963-1967
Just A Little Misunderstanding features all the material that the group cut between early 1965 and their demise in early 1967, along with all the known solo material cut by their final lead singer, Dennis Edwards, before he was enlisted by the Temptations as a replacement for David Ruffin in 1968. (Other featured singers include Joe Stubbs, Jerry Green and the group's original lead, Billy Gordon).
14 of the 26 featured tracks have never been heard before in this form - 12 of the 14 have never been heard in ANY form prior to this release.
All these tracks feature the great and probably definitive Motown sound of the mid-60s. We are sure many will find a home on the Northern Soul scene, which has supported the group's dance tracks since its earliest days.
The booklet features copious annotation by renowned Motown authority Keith Hughes and many rare and previously unseen photos of the mid 60s incarnations of the Contours.
