Just Keep Going, Man! Diaries and Reflections of a Nine-City UK Tour: Edinburgh, Inverness, The Isle of Sky, Glasgow, Newcastle, London, Belfast, and Portrush.
Written as a personal diary about a summer holiday that starts in the city of Edinburgh, about visiting some historical places, and a reunite with an old friend there, I posted on social media about my farewell to the city and an intrigue from family and friends started about my trip. Then my diary continues on, as I visited several other Scottish cities, first Inverness; while there I took a guided tour from there to the Isle of Sky, and then on to Lochness. I left for England by train, and posted another farewell on social media. Just a brief stop in Glasgow, and then went on to Newcastle. I was reunited there with another long lost friend. I went by train for a day to London and then took the train ride back to Newcastle that turned into a bit of a black comedy with the train driving at such a fast speed that I started cracking jokes. I posted the humorous story on social media, and it was well received by family and friends. I now knew this was not just another summer trip and I started to take my journal entries more seriously. The final city on my tour was Belfast, which during my time there, I took a train ride up to the town of Cholerine and then a taxi to the Irish Causeway. I went to visit Dulance Castle, a medieval 12th century castle on the cliffs of the Irish Sea. It was there that my emotional encounter with a complete stranger that the story takes a more a deeper philosophical hook of wanting to get lost and not be found, overcoming adversity and a deep emotional look back at my time living as an ex-patriate in Qatar, and some of the other countries I have lived in; including, Korea, and Turkey., The experience sparked a variety of emotions, and I started to go into a vast emotional grieve for my father who I lost seven years ago. It was then that friends and family recommended turning my story into a book. This was it, I decided I would. I added a refection’s section finished my book altogether in three months. This is just keep going man.
