These fossilized sharks teeth were discovered in Morocco and are over 50 million years old. The teeth that prehistoric sharks shed became fossilized after they sank to the seafloor and became covered with sediments. Fossilization took thousands of years. The teeth were protected from decay as the sediment covering them prevented exposure to bacteria, weathering, and abrasion. Kalifano's fossilized shark tooth fossils came from prehistoric sharks up to 60 feet long!
