Kenley Bat House - Handcrafted Bat Box for Outside from Cedar Wood - Weatherproof Bat Houses for Outdoors - Bat Boxes Designed to Attract Bats - Easy for Bats to Land and Roost - Quick Installation
DESIGNED FOR BATS - The Kenley bat house has been designed with bat preferences and needs in mind, based on the available research. Its specially engineered spacious chamber provides a well-spaced area for bats to roost and live. The textured platform with perches and skerfs also make landing easy.
NATURALLY WEATHERPROOF - This bat box is handcrafted from sustainable cedar wood, which is resistant to rot and decay. It will keep rain and snow out and last for years. The external dimensions are 14.6x6.7x2.2 inches.
EASY TO INSTALL - The Kenley bat houses for outdoors are shipped pre-assembled, ensuring a secure and dry habitat for the bats and easy installation for you. With a sturdy hanger hook and pre-drilled hole, you can mount it in minutes on a pole, tree, or wall. It may take a couple of weeks to two seasons for the bats to find their new roosting site.
POPULAR WITH BATS - Hang the bat house at least 15-20 feet high, facing south or southeast. Ensure that the bat house is in a clear flight area and is not blocked by trees or other obstacles. Choose a spot that is sheltered from the wind yet receives direct sunlight for at least 4 hours a day. Place one or two additional bat houses nearby to offer different temperature conditions.
SUPPORT LOCAL BAT POPULATIONS - Bats are crucial for our ecosystems and economically sustainable agriculture. Providing a safe and suitable bat box for bats can support local populations and promote their survival. Otherwise, they may seek shelter in buildings or attics, where they can cause damage and create a nuisance.
Make a place for bats Worldwide, 77 species of bats are endangered and in many countries (including the US) loss of habitat means all local bats are at risk. Installing a bat box is a great way to support these beautiful animals - and also cut down on the number of mosquitoes and flies in your area! The Kenley Bat Shelter is designed to host a small bat colony. It's hand crafted from premium cedar wood and varnished to make it weatherproof. It can be painted or sprayed to change the colour.
Where to install your bat house The Kenley Bat Shelter comes with a mounting hook at the back and information about bat preferences. Bats fly to their roosts, so the house should be at least 12 feet above the ground. Choose a spot that's sheltered from the wind yet gets direct sunlight for 4 or more hours a day. Please bear in mind that installing a bat house does not guarantee you'll see bats. Bats are wild animals and it may take several months for local bats to discover your bat house. Never disturb roosting bats.
