Its portability also makes the R3 a handy tool for a variety of home repairs. The R3 has several features that make it perfect for joining materials from 1/2" to 1-1/2" thick. Its deeper drilling angle optimizes driving efficiency and creates a compact pocket hole that is less than 1-1/2" in size. Its dual positioning sliders include 9 depth settings in 1/8" (3mm) increments to allow you to quickly and easily align the jig to the thickness of your project material, while dual wood-chip holes keep your drill bit clear of excess wood chips. Like other Kreg products, the R3 is made to be durable and long-lasting. Its body is made from glass-reinforced nylon, and the drill guides are hardened steel and come with a lifetime guarantee. The result is a flexible and resilient jig that that operates with minimal bit deflection, reduced tear-out, and a clean, pluggable pocket hole fit for finish work. The R3 can be secured with any standard bar clamp, C-clamp or Kreg Face clamp via the included clamp pad adapter. It comes with a stepped drill bit, 6" (152mm) driver bit, and pocket-hole plug set, all in a compact carrying case that features a built-in depth collar gauge.
