Kurse is a 16 y/o boy in the Queendom of Gaol. Gaol's queen has eliminated poverty, hunger and other things but did it at a price. All of those who are unable to take care of themselves are made slaves of the state and given to those who can take care of them. Kurse though is a mage, and by law all mages belong to the crown. KUrse is ripped away from his family and his love to serve the queen like all mages must, there are no friends, no family only the Queen.
