The 1950 Santa Fe Super Chief train is famous because of the popular Hollywood VIPs who used the line, however GM's original design was for a freight engine. The colors and war bonnet make the engine both memorable and unique. The F7 series excelled at "Through Freight" with its engine producing 1500 horsepower.
