Question: Do the magnets have any adverse affect on the phone itself? I have a iphone 6s.

Answer: I worried about that also. The plate that stick to your phone is not magnetic. The magnet it's self does nothing to your phone. I drive with my GPS going all the time as I travel for work. No issues at all. I just bought 2 more for my cars at home.

Question: I have a privacy screen on my phone, I'm I going to be able to tilt the phone in my direction?

Answer: No. It acts similar to a magnet on the fridge. Flat side to flat side. There are products made by this company that will do the tilt action though.;
