Get your book-sharing box from the nonprofit organization that started the global book-sharing movement! Little Free Library is a nonprofit that inspires a love of reading, builds community, and sparks creativity by fostering over 90,000 neighborhood book-sharing boxes in over 90 countries around the world. This ready-to-build, unfinished Little Free Library kit is ideal for families, scouts, schools, clubs, and organizations who want to establish a place for sharing books in their community. The kit comes with easy-to-follow instructions, pre-cut and pre-drilled wood pieces, screws, and nails-everything you need to build a one-story, shed-roof Little Library for use outdoors. (You'll need to provide wood glue and basic tools such as a screwdriver and hammer.) No special woodworking skills are required. Because it's unfinished, you'll want to prime and paint or stain the book-sharing box before setting it up outside-have fun and express yourself! The Library will last a long time with regular maintenance, just as you'd provide for your own home or other outdoor structure. An official charter sign with a unique registration number comes already attached to the front wall of the Library. This number opens the door to inclusion on the world map and special online Little Free Library volunteer stewards community. Also included is a printed guide with detailed information about installation and tips about how to make your book exchange a welcome addition to your neighborhood.
