This workbook and CD was designed for Pine Ridge school children to learn how to "speak" Lakota. It has simple conversational sentence in Lakota, then in English, and then it is sounded out phonetically as if you were saying the word in English. There is areas to rewrite the sentence until you got it. At the end of each lesson the words that can be taken out of the sentence has a picture with the word under it along with other notes to help you. Each lesson is on a track of the CD. A wonderful tool to learn to "speak" the foundation of the Lakota language.In the middle of the workbook is a story how Crazy Horse got his medicine to inspire the student to cherish the gifts given to the Lakota.
