FAT FOR THOSE WHO VALUE QUALITY FIRST: We crafted the first ever preservative free, fine filtered, glass jarred, Grass Fed Lamb Tallow for who understand that high quality animal fats are an essential (and delicious) part of a healthy lifestyle. Since then, Fatworks has been the go-to fat for fat loving chefs as well as the Paleo, Primal, Keto, Carnivore, Whole30 WAP, and AIP.
FAT IS FLAVOR: Before the Paleo and Keto and communities began singing the praises of lamb tallow, gourmet chefs, grandma's and French fry connoisseurs around the world knew that tallow added an amazing flavor profile that one simply cannot get from industrialized seed oils and artificial shortenings. Dish ideas are, roasted veggies, pan fried meat, wrapping ribs or briskets for roasting or grilling, adding to stews and chili con carne, fries, and even as a secret weapon for pies and pastries.
USDA CERTIFIED AND TESTED: 100% Grass Fed and Grass Finished. No artificial ingredients, no added hormones, no preservatives, and no antibiotics. USDA Tallow is batch tested for freshness and water activity. Tallows not done under USDA have no freshness protocols or standards that they need to follow, and are able to make unsupported claims, something that Fatworks will not do.
Ever since our inception, Fatworks has been exploring the idea of crafting a 100% Grass Fed Pasture Raised Lamb Tallow, however, finding farmers that met our (and your) high standards proved difficult. Well, as you can see, we finally found what we were looking for. So, Ladies, Gentlemen and Fat Lovers everywhere, we proudly announce our 100% Grass Fed, Pasture Raised Lamb Tallow. If you don't know about Lamb Tallow keep reading as this is one baa-d tallow. Some people find that lamb, in general, has a flavor that many in the west find a bit bit overpowering, but when it comes to the tallow itself, there is very little "gaminess" and it is in fact a traditional fat with a very subtle, mild (and did we mention, delicious) flavor, making it ideal for sauteing your favorite leafy greens, roasting vegetables and pan frying any and all meat. Lamb Tallow adds a piquant depth to soups and stews and of course, let us never forgot the amazing and spudtacular things tallow can do to a potato! In fact, any root veggie will roast or fry beautifully with Lamb Tallow. It would be easy to go the "meat and potatoes" route, however if you are up for a little culinary adventure we suggest baking with Lamb Tallow, only because it makes for some of the most delicious, savory pies! And we didn't even mention the whole new world of Middle Eastern cuisine that is just a jar away with Lamb Tallow. (This beloved tallow is even used as a secret ingredient in traditional baklava recipes.) Ok, we could go on and on but we done introduced it enough. Have at it!
