This LANC adapters works with most of the newer Sony video cameras that have the 10pin "D" connector. This cable will break out the LANC, Audio and Video so you can use them all at the some time. NOTE: Sony 2013 consumer camcorders have a new style connector, called a multiport connector. If you camcorder has this, then you will need an additional cable from Sony. Part number VMC-AVM1 to use this cable. Also, 2011 models (HDR-CX130, HDR-CX160 HDR-XR-160, HDR-CX180, HDR-CX360, HDR-CX560, HDR-CX700, DCR-SR66, DCR-SX85, DCR-SX65, DCR-SX45, HDR-PJ10, HDR-PJ30, HDR-PJ50, HDR-TD10) will NOT output video when the LANC cable is plugged. This is due to a design change Sony made on the 2011 models. All other models work just fine with this cable. This cable is 18 inches long.
