Daniel Jones wanted no more trouble â€“ he already had plenty. Living alone with his father was far from easy, and the weekend visits with his now-attentive mother and her new husband were almost more than the fifteen-year-old could bear.

But then, one night, he and his father are stranded during a snowstorm and are offered refuge by a kind family at the Everton farm.
