Last of the Garage Punk Unknowns 2
Limited vinyl pressing comes in gatefold jacket with deluxe liner notes, band photos, label scans, etc. In the mid 60s, primal rock n roll was alive and well in garages and rehearsal spaces all over the U.S. Inspired by 50s rock, the British invasion and hormones, teenagers formed bands that were rough, raw and spirited. Some of them were competent enough to record in a real studio while others kept banging away until the hippies came along and the scene became more psych-oriented. But for a few years, those sweaty hours in a garage really mattered. This collection is proof! Features 15 prime slabs of mid 60s USA garage punk from the likes of Infinitives, Catsanovas, Alan Burn & The Ushers, Casuals, Royal Coachmen, Vandals and many others.
