Latin Key WordsÂ is a learning aid benefiting from computer analysisÂ of the surviving corpus of Latin literature, comprising over 1,500,000Â words. It consists of a list of the most common two thousand words, with their meanings in English, arranged in decreasing order ofÂ frequency. The list is divided into a hundred units of twenty keyÂ words each, from which many more words can be derived. All theÂ most common irregular verbs are cited in their full principal parts.

Latin Key Words is the most efficient and logical way to acquire theÂ basic vocabulary of Latin. Most grammars and readers introduce words almost at random, so that a student can never be sure ofÂ mastering commonly-occurring words within a reasonable period.
