The Lewis & Clarke Expedition evolved out of several folk bands operating around Los Angeles in the mid 1960's. They formed from songwriter Michael Martin Murphy (under the guise of Travis Lewis) with Owen Castleman (performing as Boomer Clarke). The remaining members are guitarist & keyboard player Ken Bloom, bassist John London and drummer Johnny Raines. Here's a tidbit for you... London, Murphy and Castleman had all played with Mike Nesmith in a pre-Monkees folk band, "The Survivors" (along with Bill Chadwick). This album is making it's worldwide CD debut and features 4 rare bonus tracks. It was first released on vinyl in 1968 on Colgems Records. This CD features their one Billboard charting hit I Feel Good (Feel Bad).
