With this release featuring solo piano works by Franz Liszt, Praga's Sviatoslav Richter Edition (part of the Reminiscences series of SACD reissues) reaches volume sixteen. The heart of this program is the Harmonies poetiques et religieuses. The ten works in the cycle were brought together between 1845-52, and are quite unusual in Liszt's output. Inspired by the poetry of Lamartine, these are his only piano works based on religious themes.
