All of our Irish sixpence coins are over 53 years old, they have been professionally sorted and polished
Enclosed in a sealable envelope, the front of the card features the Irish shamrock. The reverse tells the tradition and history of Irish sixpences used in weddings.
The bottom half of the back of the card has space for a handwritten note to the bride.
"Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a Sixpence for her shoe." Sixpences were used not only in England but throughout the British Kingdom, including Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. Each order includes a great old sixpence from Ireland, all of which are over 50 years. These coins feature the Brian Boru harp, the symbol of Ireland since the 13th century.
