These handmade burners comes from Chulucanas, a city in Northern Peru. Chulucanas is famous for its pottery, which has deep cultural roots that originate in pre-Hispanic cultures of Tallan and Vicus (A.D. 500 years), in northern Peru. Each burner is hand made using the same ancient technique and has a unique hand painted design. Luna Sundara has been working closely with artisans from Chulucanas, Peru to create beautiful pieces of pottery in various styles. This method of creating pottery has been used by the people of Chulucanas for generations. It is a beautiful process that we hope to support by finding new styles that have practical uses. We currently are creating pieces that can be used as palo santo holders, incense holders and candles. Handmade in Chulucanas, Peru by Mr. Luis H. Sandoval.
