Pellet and wood stoves should be cleaned regularly. During this cleaning you may find gaskets have deteriorated, and need to be replaced. It's important to replace the gasket with a material that can withstand temperatures up to 1000F, and makes a tight seal. This ensures that stove retains its air tight seals. You can cut your own gasket from high temperature paper (Lynn 2260J or 9600) or purchase one of exact fit gaskets.
