M1SURPLUS Optics Mounting Kit For Mauser Yugo 24/47 M48 K98 98 Rifles - (Scope Mount Features) - Weighs 2.4 ounces, Includes mounting screws and set screws. Fits K98 style rifles. No permanent modifications. This mount replaces the rear sight leaf on your Mauser 98 rifle. Elevation setting of mount can be locked in place with included set screws. Provides a secure mounting platform to install your choice of optics. 13 cross slots will accept any weaver/picatinny style scope rings and provides some room to adjust eye relief on your optics. Fits K98 series rifles including Yugo series like the M24/47. Note this mount will not fit any other Mauser rifles other than the K98 and Yugo series like the M24/47. Will not fit older 1891 and similar small ring Mausers. Please be aware that some K98 rifles made during the War years and also some K98 rifles that where rearsenaled may have a rear sight base with different dimensions than original Military spec. On those particular rifles this mount may not work without some fitting/gunsmithing work. - (Scope Ring Features) - Material: Aluminum, Color: Matte black, Fits most 7/8" wide Weaver and Picatinny style rails. Sold as a Pair (Includes 2 rings), Ring Internal Diameter: 1", Profile: Low, Saddle Height: 0.385", Total Height: 1.475", Weight Per Ring: 1.3 oz., Screws (per ring): 2, Will accept scopes with 1" tube diameter, The screw bolt also acts as a recoil lug to index across your rail systems cross slots and prevent movement of the scope ring Made to handle heavy recoil. We recommend using blue loc-tite thread locking compound (not included). Installation requires procedures for fitting the mount. Gunsmith installation recommended.
