This colorful map is great for entertainment and learning, either while traveling or at home. Children can track their progress across the states, following the major U.S. highways. Make learning a game! Give your child a state puzzle piece when they can tell you the capital or when they can tell you the next state that touches the one they have in place. Several children can take turns putting is a state.
The puzzle pieces can be assembled on the sturdy, magnetic board, with the help of the outlined states. The states are not named on the board under the puzzle pieces. Children can then test their knowledge by assembling the states on the refrigerator or magnetic dry-erase board (not included), without the help of the outline!
Each puzzle piece is 1 state, with this exception. There is 1 puzzle piece that includes Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware and 1 puzzle piece that includes Massachusetts and Rhode Island. All the pieces come attached and must be broken apart.
