Man's High Waisted 1790-1810 Trousers Pattern (Sizes 28-42 Waist) - Also Aviailable in a Large Size
Man's Trousers. High Waisted 1790-1810. Sizes 28-42" or 42-52" Waist. Regency, War of 1812, Napoleonic. This pattern is for fall front straight trousers for common working men and some fashionable men. It is designed for the waistband to be worn just above natural waist (i.e. above hip bones). It includes directions for making closer fitted legs, and fitting information for "mature figures" with bellies! There are three variations of fall binders included: pointed, rounded or square. There are open vents in the side seams at the ankles. There is an optional watch pocket in the waistband. The pattern also includes the pattern and directions for making "Braces" (suspenders), which help to keep the trousers at the higher fashionable waistline! These trousers are suitable for use in the 1812 era, but are not the extremely high-waisted style.
