- Can NOT be washed.
- Put unit under your paper when doing calligraphy or drawing.
* Mat with grids is exceptionally useful for beginners. Sometimes students need grids to give guidance when writing characters. This mat can provide those much needed guiding lines (see pictures). It works nicely for maobian or rice paper.

Good quality. This mat is relatively thick. It gives better grip and better feeling to users.

1. The mat will hold the paper when users draw or write so the paper won't slide or move around.
2. It absorbs ink so your table won't get dirty
3. It has grids. Beginners will find this useful as a transition to learn drawing or writing from gridded paper to gridless paper. See photos.
