Melfor French Vinegar Condiment was created in 1922 by Fernand Higy, from a family recipe in the Alsace region. This combination of vinegar and honey with an infusion of herb, lends a low-acidity product perfect to accompany crudites, as a base for vinaigrettes, in marinades or any time a less acidic vinegar is desired. Acidity 3.8 percent vs. traditional vinegar's 5-8 percent. Melfor French Condiment, a staple in Alsatian kitchens.
