Grammy Award-winning band Ghost have announced the Popestar U.S. headlining tour - a 35 city run that will include two rituals at The Wiltern in Los Angeles this October. To support this, the band have released a brand new EP by the same name, Popestar. Released on Fri, Sept 16, 2016, this new EP features one new original song 'Square Hammer' and four cover songs originally by Echo And The Bunnymen, Simian Mobile Disco, Eurythmics, and Imperiet. This EP will also be bundled with the proper album Meliora, to create a deluxe version (digital, CD, and LP) available at the same time (9/16/16). Ghost will be supporting the launch of their new music with a proper music video for Square Hammer, an Active Rock radio campaign (Square Hammer), new Sister Imperator 'Summoning' videos, a new tour doc, and an avalanche of new press (EP reviews + tour press).
Papa Emeritus III and his nameless ghouls were awarded a Grammy earlier this year for 'Best Metal Performance'. Their most recent album Meliora was released on August 21, 2015 and debuted at No. 1 at Indie, No. 2 at Rock, and in the Top 10 (#8) on Billboard's Top 200 Album Chart. The band capped off a landmark 2015 with their late night television debut on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert's Halloween show on CBS with a rousing performance of their offering 'Cirice', which reached #3 at radio at Active Rock and Mainstream Rock.
