Indoor usage:

â€¢ Some indoor fireplaces are designed to use glass and have special tray-style burners for the glass. If your fireplace was not designed for glass media, and you are wanting to place it around your logs, you would place it in a similar fashion as lava rock. As always, consult your appliance's owner's manual for proper placement and safety advice.

Installation:

â˜‘ To ensure optimal performance, we recommend that the glass coverage is 2-4 inches thick. Using too little fire glass can lead to glass breakage or melting. You can also pour glass over another media such as lava granules.
