Hymnorq 50Pcs M35 Cobalt Drill Bit Set for Hardened Metal & Stainless Steel - Metric HSS-Co Twist Bits (1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm, 2.5mm, 3mm), 10 of Each - Fully Ground Jobber Length for Precision Work
TRUE M35 COBALT HSS: Manufactured from premium High-Speed Steel containing 5% Cobalt (HSS-Co). This formula dramatically increases heat resistance and durability compared to standard HSS bits, allowing you to cut through tough metals like stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys without dulling quickly.
50-PIECE BULK REPLACEMENT PACK: Small drill bits are prone to breaking during precision work. This set solves that frustration by providing 10 pieces each of the most commonly used small metric sizes: 1.0mm, 1.5mm, 2.0mm, 2.5mm, and 3.0mm. You will always have a sharp spare ready to go.
PRECISION FULLY GROUND PROCESS: Unlike cheaper rolled-forged bits, these are fully ground from solid bars with a heavy-duty spiral flute design. This ensures excellent concentricity (no wobbling), faster chip ejection, and a cleaner cut in metal, wood, and hard plastics.
VERSATILE STRAIGHT SHANK: Features a standard straight shank that fits firmly into all standard drill chucks and collets. Ideal for DIY projects, maintenance, jewelry making, and workshop tasks requiring precise, small-diameter holes in hard materials.
BRONZE OXIDE FINISH: The amber/bronze finish is not just for looks; it provides an abrasion-resistant coating that holds lubricant better and resists corrosion, extending the tool life even in demanding workshop environments.
M35 Grade Cobalt Steel
Cobalt drill bits are not made of pure cobalt, but rather a steel alloy with certain percent cobalt. The 5-percent alloy is known as M35 grade. The cobalt increases the strength of the steel and makes it more heat-resistant.
For Drilling Stainless Steel
This set of Migiwata M35 cobalt steel drill bits are particularly successful in cutting through hard metals such as stainless steel and cast iron, although they can be used for softer materials, too.
135 Degree Split Point
The flater the drill, the smaller the chip width. This means less force required to remove metal, compared with lower angles like 90° and 118°. This is important on hard stuff, because your power requirements are already more than mild steel, so making the chip load less helps. It also reduces heat since less surface area is generating the cut.
Lowest Cost Per Hole Drilled
Cobalt drill bits are more expensive than other drill bits, but if you regularly drill through metal, they are a good investment since they tend to last longer. With an extended tool life, Migiwata cobalt drill bits will give you the lowest cost per hole drilled.
Not Suggested for Hardened Steel, High Carbon Steel and Steels Blended with Impurities
M35 grade cobalt drill bits are NOT suitable for hardened steel, high carbon steel and heat-treated steel by the experiences of some customers.
Cooling Liquid Required
Please use with cooling liquid to prolong the working life of the drill bits and to avoid overheating and breakage.
About Breakage
Please be careful when you drill holes with shese needle-like small bits. They're more likely to break than larger ones.
