What size spit rod does it work on?
* It's 1/4". But if your rod is fatter than 1/4", you could still able to modify the holes on the end to fit. Take some needle nose pliers and gently peel each side of the small opening back from inside the drum (no external sharp edges that way, maintained square shape) until it fits. The material is quite soft and easily adaptable.

How many lbs of coffee beans can it hold?
* I use it to grill veggies I think it would hold up to 5lbs of beans.
* Don't put more than 4 coffee mugs of beans in it they don't seem to rotate very well if you put in more.

How fine is the mesh? Is this fine enough to hold the beans?
* The openings of the mesh seem to be no bigger than 1/8" to 3/16" wide. It's fine enough for coffee beans or nuts, or sunflower seeds. However, if your beans are smaller than these holes, you need a new supplier.
