The Millipore AP4004700 type AP40 glass fiber filter without binder resin comes in a pack of 100 and is used for collecting and preparing environmental water samples for contamination analysis. This Type AP40 glass fiber filter is recommended for testing total suspended solids according to Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater (2540D) and performing toxicity characteristic leaching procedure (TCLP) according to U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) method 1311. It retains structural integrity without weight loss when heated up to 550 degrees C (1,022 degrees F) for use in gravimetric analysis and filtration of hot gases. It is recommended for determining volatile suspended matter in wastewater and industrial effluents. This glass fiber filter is sterilizable by ethylene oxide, gamma irradiation, or autoclave for applications requiring sterilization.
