The Mira calligraphiae monumenta, or the "Model Book of Calligraphy," was created by calligraphy virtuoso Georg Bocskay in 1561–1562. Thirty years later, artist Joris Hoefnagel illuminated Bocskay's ornate textual designs with incredible illustrations of fruit, flowers, and insects on nearly every page. Galison's Mira Calligraphiae Monumenta Portfolio Notes reproduce six of those pages onto notecards: perfect for lovers of art, calligraphy, and design. • 12 notecards, 12 envelopes • 6 designs • Foil stamped box • Cards measure: 4.375 x 5.75"
